One of the most unfortunate aspects of working in this industry is encountering remarkable men and women who express, "Oh! that sounds amazing! I would love to travel but…" But what? There seems to be countless reasons to postpone traveling (as there are for anything else), but it is our mission to motivate and urge you to seize the opportunity to explore the world - right now!
Traveling holds immense significance in shaping our identities, understanding our desires, thoughts and emotions and gaining clarity about our place in this world and the diverse cultures that surround us. If the idea of traveling has been lingering in your mind, we hope this email serves as a wellspring of inspiration to push you towards embarking on your adventure. And when you finally take that leap, rest assured that we will be there to support you every step of the way.
Traveling alone as a woman scares me.
Rarely you will find yourself alone while on the road; however, in those rare moments of solitude in an unfamiliar land, employ the safety techniques you've learned to steer clear of any potential dangers. Opt to stay in the company of a group when night falls, remain vigilant of your surroundings, and navigate with confidence and purpose.
If the media's portrayal of the world has instilled fear in you about traveling solo, take a moment to consider a different approach. Surround yourself with a group of fellow adventurers, delve into informative travel blogs and arm yourself with a trusty guidebook. Let's be real, pickpocketing incidents can occur in Rome, just as you might face a carjacking situation at your local gas station tomorrow. It's all about being aware and prepared, no matter where your journey takes you
Now that I have established myself in the career I desired, it feels like I have limited opportunities to travel.
This excuse ranks second among the most commonly cited reasons for not traveling. However it ultimately boils down to proper organization. Sometimes its not just a matter of our own limited free time, but also the need to align our schedules with those of our loved ones or friends in order to create a truly fulfilling experience together. In the vast majority of cases, these challenges can be overcome with careful planning. Remember traveling doesn't always have to entail long, extensive journeys. Even a short trip can work wonders in lifting your spirits and improving your overall mood.
When I look around and see other women my age settling down, getting married, and starting families, I can't help but question if that's the path I should be following too.
Challenging societal norms can be a daunting task, and I speak from personal experience. Society has a way of exerting pressure on us, guiding us towards predetermined life patterns and timelines that we feel obligated to conform to. The reason why its crucial to fiercely resist this pressure is for the sake of your own well-being. If you don't follow the path that truly brings you joy, whether that’s traveling the world or starting a family, how can you be of true value to those around you? Succumbing to societal expectation may offer temporary happiness, but as you age, you might find yourself plagued by regrets and resentments. Suddenly at the age of 36 you may realize that your dream trip to Europe never materialized, and now you have three kids and a mortgage.
Now, let's indulge in some idealistic thinking. Why can't you have the best of both worlds? Embrace societal norms while still pursuing your own passions. I have a delightful friend who is happily married and embarks on backpacking adventures with her husband. Tomorrow, she will embark on a new chapter as they relocate to Ireland, where they plan to establish their roots and start a family, with their first baby due next winter. It's all about finding what works for you and recognizing that happiness is relative to each individuals unique journey.
No one to travel with?
Like everything in life, solo travel has its own advantages and disadvantages. These factors are highly subjective and can vary depending on different circumstances. Worried about not having a travel companion? Fear not! Solo travel has become increasingly popular nowadays. In fact, numerous travel bloggers advocate for solo travel, claiming it to be their preferred way of exploring the world. The sense of liberation it brings is truly remarkable; however for those who crave company but their friends/ family aren't able to accompany them, group travel is an excellent option.
We offer a wide range of group travel opportunities to various destinations, tailored to your preferences. With group travel, you won't feel alone; you'll have the chance to meet like-minded individuals and reap the benefits of experiencing a new destination together.
Age should never be a barrier to travel, regardless of how many years have passed.
Age is just a number. But it is important to consider certain factors that often accompany age before embarking on the journey. Take into account your health and fitness, priorities, finances and expectations.
Let me share an inspiring example: Recently we had the pleasure of assisting a client, aged 75 and their spouse, age 92, in booking a trip through Ellusive & Co Inc. Despite mobility concerns, we made sure to select a suitable property with easy access on the ground floor, and arranged for convenient airport services to accommodate their needs.
Honestly, I've heard all the excuses before. And simply put, if you make excuses you will never find the time to do what your heart desires.
Hopefully I will see you on one of the many trips we have planned that are upcoming., but even if we don't see you, we hope that you are taking those much needed trips.... and doing them soon
