PREPARE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

What time should I arrive? What time do we need to meet to get on the yacht?
A: Meet up time will be 11:30 am on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 and you will return at the same location for 4:00 pm
Where is the location that we are meeting at?
A: For security purposes we only share the location address with those that have registered to join us. That said, the location is TTC and vehicle accessible.
What should I bring?
A: Be prepared for the weather that day. Rain or shine the experience will be taking place. You will receive a detailed packing list in time to grab everything you need for your experience on the lake.
What expenses should I be prepared to pay for on-site?
A: There is nothing further that you need to pay for onsite for this experience. Your meal is included in the Gold and Silver package options excluding alcoholic drinks unless you have chosen that option. There will be light snacks for those who have purchased the Bronze Package.
Is there an alcohol package?
A: Alcohol is only included in the Gold package; however, if you have chosen Silver or the Bronze package, you are more than welcome to bring your own bottle or two if you wish.

GETTING THERE

Is transportation included in the price?
A: The only transportation that is included is the private yacht on Lake Ontario. We are not providing roundtrip transportation to and from the central location.

Do you accommodate food restrictions?
A: Yes, we do. Please identify on the registration form any food allergies or sensitives you have. Our lunch menu will be a personalized meal plan specifically for our group from a personal chef.
Do I need experience on the water?
A: No, you do not. You will not be swimming in Lake Ontario. The only water activity is a leisure boating experience. There is a captain and a crew member that will be onsite and will provide specific instructions of the boat etiquette. This experience is specifically chosen for those who have either never done a boating experience, or have done so once or twice. This experience is suitable for all ages and a wonderful experience.
This is not a physical activity, and this is for adults only. This experience is not for you if you prefer larger groups, you get seasick too easily and sailing is not your thing.
What type of yacht is this?
A: We will be sailing in a Carver 59 Luxury Yacht. Space is not lacking on the main deck. This 3 level yacht fits 16 persons comfortably. With two surround sound systems we will be enjoying summer on this beautiful Italian inspired yacht. This yacht is a large wrap around flybridge that offers ample outdoor seating which can accommodate a large number of guests. This boat is equipped for any weather as it is completely covered and heated, and can easily offer both indoor and outdoor events. The yacht comes with a large lower deck accompanied with an off the kitchen restroom. The mid deck boasts a large entertainment area, accompanied by a large bar and elevated view overlooking the scenery.

COVID-19

What measures do you have in place for my safety during COVID-19?
A: We have hand sanitizers that everyone can use prior to getting onto the yacht. The yacht has been thoroughly cleaned by our supplier.
What measures are in place for the captain, crew member and host on the Yacht Experience?
A. Our team members maintains proper distance. They are also required to check their health and if they display any symptoms, are required to not attend the experience before they connect with any of our guests. All of our vendors that we partner with also have to undergo a screening and are not to attend work if they feel sick. Since this is a private group experience, this means only our group will be allowed on our boat for the duration of the experience.
Do I need to be fully vaccinated to participate as a guest on this experience?
Since this is a private group experience, you are not required to be vaccinated.

PRICING, PAYMENTS & BOOKING

What is included in the price?

Which methods of payment are accepted for booking?

A: Payments are processed through Stripe. As such all major credit cards are accepted (i.e., Visa, Mastercard, AmericanExpress, Discover). To pay via e-transfer, please contact our team at support@ellusiveco.com for our email to e-transfer.
How will I know my reservation is confirmed?
A: Once you’ve filled out the online registration form and made your payment, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Once your payment has been made in full, you will receive a detailed information package 1 month before the experience.
What is the deadline for full payment?
A: All payments must be completed by June 17th, 2024. 
What is the payment plan?

A: You must pay $150.00 as your deposit and the balance is due in full by June 17th, 2024.

What if I miss the payment deadline?
A: If you do not make your payment deadline you will be subjected to a late payment fee of $25.00 per day for 7 days. Failure to pay by the 8th day will result in cancellation of your experience and no refunds.
Do I have to use the payment plan or can I pay in full?

A: You can pay for the entire balance of your yachting experience. You will receive an invoice within 24hrs of your paid deposit.

CANCELLATION AND TRANSFERABILITY

What if I get sick and can’t make it. Do I get my money back?
A: All deposits are non-refundable, and any monies paid thereafter the deposit are non-refundable. You may transfer to another guest but because this is a private experience curated specifically for the group and our contractual obligations with our supplier, we are unable to refund any money.
What is the Policy for the name changes should I need to transfer my booking?
A: Name changes are permitted for $75 CAD per person. Name changes can only be made with people not currently booked for the experience. The person taking your place needs to register with a staff member at Ellusive’s Journeys. and provide their credit card information. You must work out the money already paid between yourselves. The person taking your place pays the remaining balance to Ellusive’s Journeys.
Name changes can be completed up to twenty days prior to the trip. No name changes will be made after the deadline.

OTHER

How many people are joining this trip?
A: We anticipate hosting up to 12 people on this particular experience.

Is this a co-ed group experience? What is the age limit?
A: This is a co-ed group experience. All of our group experiences are 21 years and older age requirements.

When does registration close?
A: Registration closes 7 days before the experience happens, though it may close sooner or later depending on how quickly the package sells out.
